Wow, what a garage find.! This car has been sitting for an unknown amount of years in an enclosed, insulated garage, high and dry. I will start by stating I have no history whatsoever on this car. Acquired from an estate. I am a car nut, but I certainly will not claim to be an expert.!! So ask questions. I did not obtain 100% positive feed back by lying to people..! Come and look. Ask for specific pictures. If this extremely nice car is not covered in its' original paint, I simply cannot detect it. If it is a repaint, it is absolutely the best I have ever seen and would have been done years ago..! The paint I'm sure would buff to a luster, but I do not want to change the patina. (or more likely burn the finish since I have never used a powered buffer.!!) I can find only 5 scratches. The largest is in the right rear fender skirt shown in photo. I can't find a single dent. All glass is good with no cracks and no fogging. All the die cast chrome is showing some pitting. Stainless trim is good. The trim strip on the lower right front fender is the only piece of the entire car that I know is missing and I do not have it. I do not have a lift, so a couple pics with my camera lying on a creeper is the best I can do.! The underside is so clean it would be the only evidence I can find to support an older restoration. NO RUST anywhere on this car can I find. Under the mats, under the trunk mat, all perfect. It is 100% original as far as I can determine except for the engine which has casting numbers on the heads that would indicate a later year V12. The rest of the engine bay is perfect. A hot battery turns the motor over normally with that distinctive groaning sound that Ford flatheads make. The ignition switch delivers the correct voltage to the coils, but there is no spark making it back out of the distributor to any of the plugs. An older man who owns a Zephyr said it would probably be the points since it has sit for so long. Once again, I am not a V12 ignition expert so I'm leaving the removal of the distributor and that job up to the new owner. The carb is probably gummed up by now also. The interior looks original with some discoloring in the headliner. The single biggest deficiencies inside the car are, the steering wheel is cracked badly and the radio faceplate is deteriorated. The radio itself is still in the dash. The brake pedal will not move indicating the master cylinder is stuck. There is a new m/cylinder in the trunk. The trunk is in very nice condition with a correct spare and jack. I do not answer calls from area codes not local to me.(Thanks to the scammers..!!)
